Union County Public Schools has an opening for a paraprofessional coach/extra service within Union County Schools. The district has developed key areas upon which applicants will be assessed; these dispositions include the following indicators:
- Stability – demonstrates maturity and ability for the position
- Attitude toward work – appears to be dedicated to and enthusiastic, positive, and creative towards the demands of the position.
- Attitude toward schools – Displays a willingness to cooperate with parents and other shareholders
- Attitude toward community relations – Projects a positive attitude toward promoting the school programs within the community.
- Ability to relate to students – Has leadership ability to work successfully with participants.
- Student Management – Demonstrates effective discipline, motivation, and proper supervision.
- Attitude toward school activities – Demonstrates a willingness to support school activities in his/her work.
- Professionalism and personal relationships – Develops respect by example in appearance, manners, behavior, language, and conduct.
- Communication skills – Communicates effectively.
Certified employee preferred. If not certified, applicant must have high school diploma and/or GED and complete required state and federal background checks. Applicants must also complete all training required of the position.
Effective 4/4/2018, All applicants must present a letter from the Kentucky Cabinet for Health and Family Services (CHFS) stating that the applicant has no findings of substantiated child abuse or neglect.
